Our Contribution to Development and Entrepreneurship, abbreviated as “NADE ASBL”, is a national non-profit organisation under Congolese law, a member of civil society, working to promote entrepreneurship and the protection of children and women affected by vulnerabilities.

Created in 2021, it has its headquarters in the city of Bukavu, at No. 37 Avenue Maniema, C. Ibanda. It is registered in the province of South Kivu under No. JUST.112/DP-SKV/CA/6272/2022 and under No. JUST./SG/20/TK/1602/2026, with acknowledgement of receipt No. F.92/60.156.

NADE ASBL provides humanitarian and development assistance to communities and people affected by natural disasters and armed conflicts, targeting the most marginalised people. (NADEUM WIKO)

1. Presentation of the Organisation

Our social purpose is to contribute to improving the quality of life of populations living in situations of great vulnerability, through support for and promotion of entrepreneurship and the protection of women and children.

Its mission is to promote self-reliance among vulnerable populations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo through support for entrepreneurship and the protection of children and women, while acting on a daily basis to break the cycle of poverty.

Our vision is to see a prosperous Democratic Republic of the Congo where communities are actors in their own socio-economic development, where every child grows up in safety, and where every woman and young person is protected for a better future. 2. Social Purpose / Corporate Purpose

5. Problems to which NADE ASBL seeks to contribute solutions

NADE ASBL is committed to contributing to the resolution of major problems that directly affect vulnerable populations. These challenges are often complex and multidimensional. It also seeks to alleviate immediate suffering (food, healthcare, shelter) while addressing the underlying causes (poverty, exclusion, climate, human rights), which can be grouped into the following categories:

Some projects already carried out as field activities

6. Projects and Activities Already Carried Out

Project 1 – Project / activity supporting Food Security and Community Empowerment

Implemented in Kalehe Territory / South Kivu, Mbinga Sud grouping.

Duration: from 15 January to 25 June 2022, i.e. 6 months.

Direct beneficiaries: women, young people and men.

Funding: the organisation’s own funds.

Project 2 – Community awareness project to combat sexual and gender-based violence (GBV)

Location: Fizi Territory, Mukera and Kikonde health areas.

Duration: from 3 February to 10 April 2023, i.e. 3 months.

Direct beneficiaries: young people, children and public schools.

Project 3 – Entrepreneurship project as the foundation of household economic production

Implemented in Fizi Territory Centre.

Beneficiaries: young people and women.

Duration: from 5 June to 10 November 2023, i.e. 6 months.

Funding: the organisation’s own funds.

Project 4 – Agriculture for Better Health Project

Implemented in Kalehe Territory (Mbinga-Nord grouping: Lushebere, Bushushu; Mbinga Sud: Nyamasasa, Mukwidja, Lwango).

Beneficiaries: women, men and young people.

Duration: from 15 January to 25 June 2024, i.e. 6 months.

Funding: the organisation’s own funds.

Project 5 – Awareness project on the Fundamental Rights of the Child

Location: Fizi health zone, Kikonde health area.

Beneficiaries: children, young people and teachers.

Duration: from 20 July to 25 October 2024, i.e. 4 months.

7. Other Projects Carried Out or Currently Underway

Project 6 – Awareness project on the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding

Area of intervention: Fizi Territory, Kikonde and Mukera health areas.

Beneficiaries: pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Duration: 6 months, from 20 January to 30 June 2025.

Funding: the organisation’s own funds.

Project 7 – Project supporting victims of sexual and gender-based violence

Area of intervention: Fizi Territory, Mukera and Kikonde health areas.

Duration: from 20 January to 30 June 2025, i.e. 6 months.

Beneficiaries: women and young girls.

Funding: the organisation’s own funds.

Project 8 – Agricultural entrepreneurship and economic survival project

Area of intervention: Walungu Territory / South Kivu, Lurhala grouping.

Beneficiaries: 127 households.

Duration: from 27 May to 30 August 2026, i.e. 3 months.

Funding: the organisation’s own funds.

Project 9 – Community health and nutrition support project – ongoing

Area of intervention: Kalehe Territory, Mbinga Sud grouping, Bushaku village.

Duration: from 15 July to 30 November 2026, i.e. 4 months.

Beneficiaries: pregnant women, breastfeeding women and malnourished children.

Funders: FH, ALIMA, HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL, SAD.

8. Projects Envisaged for the Future

We envisage the following projects for the future:

  • Educational projects: school support, vocational training, adult literacy
  • Health projects: mobile clinics, vaccination campaigns, combating endemic diseases
  • Agricultural projects: support for farmers, improved seeds, irrigation, food security
  • Environmental projects: reforestation, water management, adaptation to climate change
  • Social and community projects: inclusion of women and young people, protection of minorities and social cohesion
  • Emergency projects: assistance to displaced people, food distribution, temporary shelters following disasters. (NADEUM WIKO)

9. Objectives for the Future

Our objectives for the future include:

  • Strengthening local capacities: training communities so that they become self-reliant
  • Sustainability of interventions: ensuring that projects continue after NGOs leave
  • Climate resilience: preparing populations for the impacts of climate change
  • Advocacy for human rights: defending the rights of refugees, women and children
  • Social innovation: using new technologies (mobile payments, digital platforms) to improve assistance

10. Our Experiences and Competencies

We possess practical experience and specialised experience to respond effectively to crises and community needs. Typical experience includes:

  • Emergency interventions: distribution of food, rapid medical care, management of displacement camps
  • Development projects: educational, agricultural and community health programmes
