This page explains why NADEUM has become NADEUM-WIKO.

Like everything in life, NADEUM is subject to natural change.
We had a wide variety of members who came and went. In 2025, some members decided to pursue other paths that were more interesting to them.
The domains acquired between 2023 and 2025 and paid for until autumn 2026 are no longer necessary for NADEUM (old), now NADEUM-WIKO.

We realised that it was also a learning process for us:

So many domains are interesting, but incomprehensible to many members. They are also not used in Africa, where we have a larger member network.

Although the internet is available in Africa, the young African generation, which does not have access to sufficient jobs, has completely different interests.
Instagram and TikTok are the platforms they use to chat and exchange information.
Websites are too complex for them, there is too much reading material and they are simply not usable for them. Websites take time. Today’s youth no longer has that time. They are inundated with enormous amounts of information.
If you want to get attention, you have to keep it short and not only inform, but also be unique in perhaps 20 seconds. In other words, you have to spark interest.
If you don’t understand this technical video language, you can’t expect to get the attention you need.
NADEUM has therefore decided to once again provide our members with only a website as an information platform.

These three domains had already been paid for at that time, but could not be edited. Our former IT support either considered this unnecessary or thought that programming these pages would be too tricky. Whatever the reason.

These domains were intended for our members. They were intended for the NADEUM branches in Africa and the USA.

However, we realised that we, the board in Vienna, belong to a completely different generation. We were born between 1954 and 1961. Although we have a wealth of life experience, we can hardly keep up with the ever-accelerating pace of IT progress. We knew analogue landline telephones, then came the first ancient personal computers, then around the turn of the millennium the first websites and shortly afterwards the ever-increasing storage disks and the possibilities they offered. From 2020 onwards, IT capabilities accelerated so rapidly that older generations became dizzy just watching. Initially on an annual basis and now, in 2025, even on a half-yearly basis, ever newer, faster and more challenging possibilities are being created. Those who do not use them on a daily basis quickly become IT illiterate.

These are essentially former WordPress web opportunities from the early days of websites. Although they have already been taken off the net, they could still be tracked down by IT experts. For today’s generation, all of this data is simply too old-fashioned. It is not understandable and probably also uninteresting in terms of content.

All ‘NADEUM.XX’ domains will expire at the end of 2026.

From autumn 2026, all domains with the designation ‘NADEUM.xx’ will no longer be paid for. Anyone who wishes to use them may do so. Our new logo is identical only in its first word, the original logo. The new logo includes our five mottos, so there is no possibility of confusion. From August 2025, the following DOMAINS and designations will apply

The name of the association remains NADEUM. After a thorough cooling-off period, the NADEUM Executive Committee has made a decision. After careful consideration of past events, we have decided to retain the name ‘NADEUM’ as the association’s name. The existing NADEUM statutes have been amended and revised accordingly so that such serious events will never happen again. From 2025 onwards, the name NADEUM will be established as a registered Austrian and international association. What will change are all domains and associated email addresses, as well as certificates and partnership documents to be created in the future.
