2nd General Assembly 2018 (7th and 8th Board Meeting)

The Second General Assembly (2nd GA) took place on August 10, 2018.
In accordance with the agenda, the Executive Board was re-elected.
Georg Josef SCHERBAUM was confirmed as Chairman of the Executive Board.Mag. Philipp SCHERBAUM accepted the election as Deputy Chairman and Treasurer.
- Mag. Andreas ANDIEL, press spokesman for NAEDUM, was elected secretary.
- The election notice was sent to the Vienna State Police Headquarters, Association Department – the current extract from the register of associations is already available: > see under Entries 2015 – 2023
The current account will be converted to a liquidity account (savings account) as of January 1, 2019, in order to save bank charges.
Due to a reorientation in the Nigeria case, it was decided to extend an offer to NADEUM to accept a new member.
- The project on the recyclability of plastics has been declared a top priority. Mag. A. Andiel is in correspondence with the Russian mission in Vienna to organize an official meeting with the organization ICPDR IKSD – International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River.
- NADEUM will cooperate with GAFÉIAS Global Peace Initiative. Research will be conducted as part of ongoing peace projects.
Mag. A. Andiel reported on reforms in Ethiopia, the peace agreement with Eritrea, and international cooperation in the Horn of Africa—Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Eritrea—including Egypt and the Gulf states.
Through the successful support of the Horn of Africa Peace Initiative (Vienna) in cooperation with UPF – Universal Peace Federation Vienna, UNCAV – United Nations Correspondents Association Vienna, GAFÉIAS, and the Austrian-Ethiopian Society, a peaceful democratic reorganization of Ethiopia and a peace agreement between Ethiopia and Eritrea were achieved.

- NADEUM implements the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
In accordance with the statutes of the NADEUM association, it was decided that the board of directors must stand for election every five years. Re-election is possible.
As two NADEUM board members left the association in 2018, the remaining NADEUM board members had to initiate a new term (2018–2023) by electing a new board.
The seventh board meeting was scheduled for September 20, 2018.

- Resolution 5: The press spokesperson and the chairperson will edit the NADEUM website in joint meetings.
- Resolution 6: Replacement of the Oberbank checking account with a liquidity account
- Resolution 7: New NADEUM association signature for email correspondence, individual handling of academic titles The chair reported on a BBC report broadcast on ORF (Weltjournal: Ethiopia; Weltjournal plus: Niger). It dealt with land grabbing and the refugee problem.
- Due to the new account number, CASC is tasked with creating transfer foils to cover the magnetic sign.
The eighth board meeting is expected to take place in September 2019. The exact date will be announced in good time.

A NADEUM certificate is planned. There will be 7 performance levels.
- All 7 performance levels will last 5 years. They should be motivating levels. We want to make this possible within the EU. If the NADEUM certificate were accepted worldwide, WE would all benefit. Consumers in particular
- Our goal is for “NADEUM – the certificate” to become a seal of sustainability within the EU or worldwide.

Report on the progress of the Vienna project
- Neu Penzing” by the president of NADEUM.
- According to the current city government, Vienna wants to become actively cooler and greener. In a BZ report by the City of Vienna, Neu Penzing 1150/1140 was an extremely hot district in the summer of 2019.
- The president of NADEUM is a resident of this district of 1150 Vienna. Due to increased traffic violations and the dominance of flowing traffic, as well as the demand that “Vienna must become greener and cooler” on the part of the responsible parties in the city of Vienna, the president has developed a possible study for Neu Penzing. This proposal will soon be presented to one of the district councils of the Green Party. In the hope of having created a suitable residential and traffic concept and with the desire to put this idea up for discussion so that this district can also undergo future renewal.
