Procedure and framework of the NADEUM-WIKO social skills training course
The NADEUM-WIKO / GAFÉIAS ‘Light Your Fire’ social skills training programme is a structured development programme that is applied over a longer period of time. Participation is conscious and gradual, so that personal development can take place in a sustainable manner.
Participation in training
Participation begins with an orientation on the content and goals of the training. You will then create your personal vision and begin the exercises.
The training programme includes:
- Introduction and orientation
- Clarification of life goals and vision
- Contact with the trainer
- Beginning the exercises
- Continuous application in everyday life
All steps build on each other and support your personal development.
training method
Social skills training can be carried out in two ways:
Supervised participation
with a licensed NADEUM-WIKO social skills trainer
Independent participation
by working through the exercises on your own
Supervised participation is recommended as it supports understanding, motivation and implementation.
Duration of training
The duration of the training depends on your personal pace of work and how regularly you use it.
Typical time frame:
approx. 6 to 12 months
Intensive use can shorten the duration, while a slower pace can extend it. Personal development is individual.

The training can be integrated into everyday life. The exercises are applied and reflected upon step by step.
Recommended time frame:
- short daily application
- regular reflection
- continuous work on the exercises
Small, regular steps lead to lasting effects.
participation requirements
Participants should:
- Be interested in personal development
- Be willing to practise regularly
- Document their answers
- Take responsibility for their learning process
No prior knowledge is required.

Participation in various regions
NADEUM-WIKO and partner organisations operate in several regions and time zones.
Course times are always given in CET (Vienna).
